This countywide reconciliation preserves all 171 records in the official St. Johns County GIS Beach Access layer: 101 marked Open and 70 marked Undeveloped. Undeveloped records remain visible for completeness but are not represented as ready-to-use public entrances.
Use only a signed, open public route. A map record does not authorize parking, dune crossing or entry across private land. Temporary closures, erosion, nesting protection, tides and emergency work can override this directory.
How this inventory is counted
The access count is separate from the number of named beach guides. One named beach may have dozens of street-end entrances; one park may have several internal boardwalks. Full guides describe the visitor destination, while this directory preserves every official GIS point.
Vehicle ramps are not promises of current entry. From March through September, county driving fees apply at designated ramps; daily conditions can restrict entry to 4WD or close a route entirely.

GIS dataset and visitor details checked September 23, 2026. The official GIS is maintained by St. Johns County GIS and Parks and Recreation. Facility descriptions were reconciled against the county’s current beach-access page, St. Augustine Beach parking list, GTM Research Reserve, Florida State Parks and the National Park Service.
