Jasper County beaches
Jasper’s coast is a landscape of tidal rivers, marsh and boat-access islands. Turtle Island WMA is the named beach destination established in this review; it is a nature trip with a boat journey, rather than a conventional park beach.

1 published guide in this county. Use the named arrival information first; facility evidence is too limited for a feature-based recommendation. 1 guide has boat-only arrival: plan transport and the lawful landing separately. Feature counts describe documented routes, not all beaches or every entrance in the county.
Start with the named arrivals in these guides; route-specific features are still being verified. Counts refer to beaches with a qualifying named entrance, not every entrance. These are planning details, not current opening or guard duty.

Turtle Island WMA Beach
A boat-only barrier-island shore at South Carolina’s southern edge. The front beach is shorebird and seabird habitat; daytime visits must respect posted protected areas and changing shoreline access.
Choose this area for
A carefully arranged daytime boat visit and shorebird habitat. Confirm the intended landing and facilities with SCDNR; do not plan around assumed restrooms, lifeguards or a continuous accessible route. Dogs and camping have separate seasons.
What the beach list excludes
County ramps and fishing references are preserved in the directory and are not counted as beaches. Inland park ponds are outside coastal coverage. Tybee National Wildlife Refuge and Tomkins Island are closed to public use; Jones Island remains an unresolved access candidate.
The reviewed county visitor map, regional tourism sources, SCDNR island information and federal refuge inventory establish useful coverage without certifying every shoreline or an exhaustive county inventory. The county and SCDNR have been asked for remaining details.
Nearby alternatives
Georgia Tybee and Chatham County guides provide separate planning options. Beaufort County beach guides now provide separate Atlantic, tidal shore and island-trip alternatives.
