- Fees & reservations
- See the entrance section for parking and entry details and sources.
- Restrictions & exceptions

Full nudity and female-topless policy remain independently unestablished.
- What this label covers
- Designated area described by the manager; landing coordinates remain unverified. Not a navigation waypoint.
Beach ownership, the route across land, public shoreline-use rights and access to facilities are separate questions. Rules vary by state and location. Use the identified public entrance or documented permission; neither a nearby resort nor an admission fee by itself establishes that a beach is private. A mapped beach is not permission to cross private property.
Access policy reviewed 2026-10-09. Not a live closure report or a property-boundary survey.
Allowed & prohibited activities
Alcohol: Department rules allow alcoholic beverages for people of lawful age only at designated campsites, facilities, residences or other designated locations. No alcohol designation was established for the North Island public intertidal area.
Fires and grills: Open fires are restricted to Department-designated campsites, subject to posted bans and extinguishing rules. No campsite or fire designation was established within the North Island public intertidal area.
Overnight camping: Primitive camping requires a permit requested at least 2 weeks ahead, only at designated beach-front locations October 16–March 14, maximum 4 consecutive nights. This does not authorize camping anywhere in the public day-use area.
Shore fishing: Enacted Yawkey rule allows boating, fishing and wildlife viewing in or upon navigable waters; this does not establish an unrestricted landward shore-fishing route.
