Official route / restriction details ↗Parking, route & accessibility evidence
Parking & entry: Choose the signed public entrance. City beach-park entry requires the applicable annual permit or daily payment. Gatehouses became cashless October 1, 2026: debit/credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Separate pavilion metered parking must not be treated as identical to gatehouse parking.
Parking source ↗Accessibility: Choose the exact accessible route. The City identifies a year-round beach mat at Spanish River’s middle tunnel, running from the tunnel toward the beach, and beach wheelchairs available through the gate attendant. This verifies that named facility provision, not the surface condition or continuous accessible route at every entrance.

Rules & facilities
Check before you go
Timing: Spanish River Park’s posted hours are 8 a.m.–sunset. Lifeguard and permit-only Bark Beach schedules are separate. Bringing a dog: Bark Beach allows dogs only between towers 18 and 20 during its seven-day schedule: 7–9 a.m., and 3 p.m.–sunset in standard time or 5 p.m.–sunset in daylight time. Each dog needs its own permit; leash before entering and after leaving, carry waste bags, and bring no more than two dogs per person. Dog permits do not include parking. Swimming: City Ocean Rescue lists year-round, seven-day staffing from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. in standard time and 9 a.m.–6:30 p.m. during daylight time. Use the guarded area and check with the lifeguard on arrival; the staffing schedule is not a current flag or a guarantee of safe swimming. Getting there: See the entrance section for parking and entry details and sources. Facilities: City lists restrooms at this park. Specific outdoor shower and entrance-to-facility details require separate evidence. Accessible visit: See the entrance section for accessibility details and sources. Latest beach notice: Boca Raton Ocean Rescue publishes a dated city-beach conditions report. Check its actual report date and tower flags; a saved report is not a current tower observation, and potential lightning closures are conditional.

Public or private?
Public access
Who can visit: Open to the general public, including visitors, during permitted hours and subject to posted rules.
Entry route, fees & access boundaries
- Manager / access authority
- City of Boca Raton manages the described public beach facilities; do not infer management from the mailing municipality alone.
- Access basis
- This listing covers a publicly managed beach access or park, not a private guest-only beach.
- Where to enter
- Responsible authority identifies this as a public beach destination. Public eligibility is separate from temporary closure, individual entrance availability and route accessibility.
- Fees & reservations
- As of October 1, 2026, Boca’s Class 1 vehicle beach-park entry costs $40 on weekdays or $55 on weekends/holidays, valid only at the park purchased that day. Gatehouses accept debit/credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay, not cash. Eligible city/district annual permits are $90; Palm Beach County resident permits are $108 and cover South Beach only. Annual permits do not cover metered spaces.
- Restrictions & exceptions
- Use the park’s designated beach connections and posted swimming zones. Boca prohibits disturbing or feeding wildlife, smoking, Styrofoam products, balloons and confetti in its parks and beaches. Keep clear of turtle nests. Dog access is a separately controlled exception at Spanish River’s Bark Beach, not a permission at all three City beaches. Bark Beach allows dogs only between towers 18 and 20 during its seven-day schedule: 7–9 a.m., and 3 p.m.–sunset in standard time or 5 p.m.–sunset in daylight time. Each dog needs its own permit; leash before entering and after leaving, carry waste bags, and bring no more than two dogs per person. Dog permits do not include parking. Spanish River Park’s posted hours are 8 a.m.–sunset. Lifeguard and permit-only Bark Beach schedules are separate.
- What this label covers
- Approved named destination only; public eligibility does not imply current opening or a surveyed accessible entrance.
Beach ownership, the route across land, public shoreline-use rights and access to facilities are separate questions. Rules vary by state and location. Use the identified public entrance or documented permission; neither a nearby resort nor an admission fee by itself establishes that a beach is private. A mapped beach is not permission to cross private property.
Access policy reviewed 2026-10-03. Not a live closure report or a property-boundary survey.
Allowed & prohibited activities
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Spanish River Park and its beach.
