This islandwide directory combines every public Atlantic Ocean beach entrance identified in current City of Fernandina Beach, Nassau County and Florida State Parks records: 41 city access points, six county parks or walkovers and two state parks.
Public beach does not make every path public. Hotel, resort, condominium and homeowners-association walkovers are private routes for authorized guests, residents or members. Use the signed public entrances below and never cross a gate, dune, landscaped parcel or unmarked private path.

Private oceanfront hotels, condominium associations, resort clubs and residential communities maintain additional crossovers. They are not public beach entrances. Access is generally limited to registered guests, owners, residents, club members and their authorized visitors. A nearby public beach does not create permission to enter through private property or use private parking, restrooms, pools, boardwalks or rental equipment.
The public Summer Beach and South End walkovers remain public even though they pass through areas containing private resort or residential property. Follow public-access signs precisely and remain on the marked route.
Accessibility, fees and vehicle access
Fernandina lists ADA access at North Beach Park, Main Beach, Seaside Park and Mantanzas/34. Main Beach has a Mobi-Mat. Free city beach wheelchairs may be reserved at 904-310-3350; availability, identification and use conditions apply.
City and county pedestrian entrances have no published general entry fee. Fort Clinch and Amelia Island State Park charge state-park admission; current amounts, payment methods and pass links are shown in their full guides. Vehicle access on unincorporated beaches is restricted by residency/property-owner eligibility with stated military and disability exceptions, qualifying vehicle requirements, seasonal hours and closures. Pedestrian access does not confer permission to drive onto the beach.
