Talbot County coastal access references
Compare separately researched tidal shores in Talbot County, Maryland. Each named arrival retains its own public, booked-activity or guest-access limits.
This directory contains 7 named-shore guide summaries. These are not counts of distinct entrances or a certified complete county shoreline inventory. Additional water-access observations, ramps, docks, geographic leads and unresolved shore candidates retain separate private research dispositions; none becomes a beach merely because it appears in an inventory.

Parking, facilities, restrictions & sources
Use the established beach walkway from The Strand and keep out of fenced dunes and marsh plantings. The Town authorizes swimming at your own risk; this is not a guarded swimming beach.Responsible source ↗Parking, facilities, restrictions & sources
Park at Claiborne Landing and walk about one-third mile by Claiborne Landing Road and Bayside Drive, then the short beach path. There is no parking at the jetty. Intervening waterfront land is private: do not walk directly along the shore from the landing.Responsible source ↗Parking, facilities, restrictions & sources
Enter the County landing from Claiborne Landing Road and use the sand access south of the parking area. This is a boat and soft-launch landing; a public landing is not automatically a designated swimming area.Responsible source ↗Parking, facilities, restrictions & sources
Use Bellevue Road to the County landing. DNR describes sandy water access near the ferry entrance; keep ferry loading and the working launch lanes clear. This is not proof of a currently designated swimming area.Responsible source ↗Parking, facilities, restrictions & sources
Follow the blue public-access sign to the sandy area between the ramp and fishing pier. Keep the named soft-access feature separate from the motorized-ramp inventory record and from swimming permission.Responsible source ↗Parking, facilities, restrictions & sources
Reach the County landing at the end of Windy Hill Road. County planning material explicitly lists a beach here, but neither that label nor a monitoring result establishes a currently designated swimming area.Responsible source ↗Parking, facilities, restrictions & sources
Use the Talbot-side park entrance and remain on open landward grounds and trails. The manager’s May 2026 update says Talbot shoreline and trails remain open while both fishing piers are closed for structural problems.Responsible source ↗Source scope and visit-planning limits

Use the named managing authority and exact arrival. A boat launch, rental booking, campground registration or historical source does not establish unrestricted beach access, swimming permission or a continuous public shoreline. Map references are approximate planning points, not navigation waypoints.
