Start with the named arrivals in these guides; route-specific features are still being verified. Counts refer to beaches with a qualifying named entrance, not every entrance. These are planning details, not current opening or guard duty.

National Harbor Beach / The Awakening
A managed sandy art/event beach beside the tidal Potomac at National Harbor, home to The Awakening sculpture. This is a shore-and-art visit: the operator prohibits ordinary wading, swimming, diving and fishing.
Cedar Haven Natural Area Beach
A managed Patuxent shoreline in Cedar Haven Natural Area, also recorded as Cedar Haven Fishing Area. DNR identifies a sandy shallow-water shore; fishing/hand-launch context is distinct from verified bathing permission.
Coverage and evidence
Every retrieved county DNR record reviewed; inland records and uncertain tidal-limit records retained privately.
Current exact manager rules/closures govern. Historical source dates and unknown current amenities remain explicit.
Map pins are approximate planning references. Check the exact guide for lawful arrival and manager notices. Forecasts, tide predictions, laboratory samples and warning flags retain separate sources and dates.
