Hillsborough County beach access directory

9 source-listed records, grouped by their existing shoreline-guide links. A record can identify an entrance, destination or historical observation; the count is not a claim that every route is currently usable.

Public-access evidence, shoreline assignment and current opening are separate. Check posted closures and restrictions; an unassigned shoreline guide does not make an entrance private.

Authority-listed public access and Florida DEP public-access listings are shown separately. Limited, emergency, undeveloped and specifically unresolved routes retain their restrictions.

Arrival and coverage notes

Mainland beaches are on Tampa Bay. Apollo Beach Preserve prohibits swimming. Ordinary Picnic Island and Davis Islands beaches are separate from their designated dog zones. Egmont Key is a boat-access Hillsborough island; Pinellas departure ports do not change its county, and sanctuary areas remain closed.

Little Harbor/Bahia private-property rights, MacDill restricted-base access, unnamed Cockroach Bay island landings and Rocky Point identity remain separate research questions. No restaurant visit or nearby water-quality sample establishes public beach access.

Egmont structures are closed under the dated August 12, 2026 park notice. Visitor restroom availability remains unresolved; do not plan on toilets, food or drinking water there.
