Liberty County beaches
This is a boat-planning destination. NPS describes private-boat access to St. Catherines Island’s beach; the island is a private preserve and its interior is closed. The Foundation’s general-public closure notice and the exact permitted shoreline landing need clarification. Confirm the intended beach stop directly before travel.

1 published guide in this county. Use the named arrival information first; facility evidence is too limited for a feature-based recommendation. 1 guide has boat-only arrival: plan transport and the lawful landing separately. Feature counts describe documented routes, not all beaches or every entrance in the county.
Start with the named arrivals in these guides; route-specific features are still being verified. Counts refer to beaches with a qualifying named entrance, not every entrance. These are planning details, not current opening or guard duty.

St. Catherines Island Bar is closed
The separately named St. Catherines Island Bar Natural Area is closed year-round to people and pets, including its intertidal zone. The main-island beach description does not permit landing on that bar or entering signed protected habitat.
Scope and planning
Mainland launches, marina services and fishing sites are separate from island beach facilities. A map reference marks the named shore for planning; it is not a verified landing, accessible route or surveyed boundary. Toto Inlet remains a separate unconfirmed identity and arrival question.
Typical underwater clarity, shore and offshore snorkeling, full nudity and topless sunbathing each need their own evidence. Unknown does not mean prohibited, permitted, cloudy water or unsuitable swimming. Current samples, forecasts and tides do not substitute for one another.
